Emily Tilden
Emily moved to Lander for love in 2005 right after graduating from Montana State University - Bozeman. Her college boyfriend and now husband, BJ Tilden, moved to Lander for the climbing and have since stayed for the mountains, the community and the simple lifestyle. They have two boys, Wyatt and Maxwell.
Emily has always had an inclination to event organization and personal connection. It probably started with being on the Prom committee in High School and continued to evolve into race directing, event and sales management for Wild Iris Mountain Sports, where she worked for 9 years before starting at Elemental Performance and Fitness as a coach. She also coached the Lander Valley High School Nordic Ski Team for 8 years, where she honed in her coaching skills around individual development. Emily’s years of working in customer service has given her the lived experience of meeting people where they are, and that kindness always prevails. Emily has an affection for spreadsheets, planning ahead and time management. This is balanced with the value of investing in individuals’ growth, asking deeper questions and using humor to create perspective.
Emily currently works part time as a coach at Elemental Performance & Fitness, is one of the co-chairs for the Lander Running Club, serves on the Board of Directors for the Lander Nordic Ski Association, the Destination Lander Committee (which is tasked with distributing funds from the lodging tax) and well as on the Lander Womentum Leadership Team. Emily is an always-aspiring athlete and loves connecting with the Lander Community. Emily is most excited about Lander Womentum because of her appreciation for connections that women make when the “scene is set” for nurturing, trusting and open relationships to be built. She believes that when we are supported from a place of abundance and worthiness our power is expansive, our quality of life is improved and our influences more impressionable. It is from these acts of leadership that our world becomes a better place.
