Katie Klingsporn

Katie Klingsporn is a journalist and mom who grew up in central Wyoming. She skipped out of state immediately after graduation from Lander Valley High School, with no intention of returning. But after experiencing the world through travels and various newspaper jobs, she realized her hometown is pretty great. She moved back to Lander in 2018 with her family and has been working for Wyoming's nonprofit statewide news source WyoFile since 2019. 

She loves to write about the American West, to hunt for wild mushrooms, and to wake up in a tent with her husband, daughter and dog. Katie participated in Womentum's 2019-2020 cohort. Though the cohort's program was cut brutally short by the pandemic, she still made meaningful connections that helped solidify her belief in the incredible power of women.
